
Since 2019, the company arrived in Ecuador to operate Campo Villano - Block 10, located between Arajuno and Pastaza Cantons in the province of Pastaza. This block encompasses Villano Field (production), as well as Oglan and Siccha, which represent development opportunities.

Health Promotion
Pluspetrol maintains strategic alliances with entities that are part of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador (MPH) for the execution of its Health Program that seeks to provide logistical assistance, provision of medicine, vector control and health promotion through medical brigades aimed at the communities of direct influence in Campo Villano.
In addition, it has community health promoters who are a link between the communities and the MPH for the execution of medical brigades and training talks on health promotion and prevention.
Education Promotion
Pluspetrol develops its Education Program in the educational units surrounding Campo Villano, which includes the delivery of monthly school snacks and school supplies annually.
Additionally, together with the Ministry of Education, it runs a comprehensive higher education scholarship program aimed at the highest-scoring students in the area.
Economic Development
The company promotes social responsibility initiatives, which create economic opportunities, contributing to the financial autonomy of local inhabitants and promoting the sustainable growth of the communities surrounding Campo Villano.
In 2023, the company supported the creation of five community companies through administrative and technical support and advice so that they provide services to Pluspetrol in road maintenance and lookouts for transportation control and mobilization.
Environmental Management
Environmental Actions
The Participatory Environmental Program, which is a pioneering initiative in Ecuador and implemented in addition to current environmental regulations, has professionals from the native communities surrounding Block 10. Some of these professionals are graduated from the Pluspetrol Scholarship Program, who in its two years of execution have managed to disseminate good environmental practices, compliance with environmental management plans, and provide advice to communities on waste management and care for biodiversity.
One more tree makes a difference, an initiative that is aligned with the United Nations campaign on the World Environment Day and Pluspetrol's Strategic Environmental Agenda for 2030, whose purpose is that small actions can contribute to big changes, by allowing the participation of the company's main asset, which is its collaborators, contractors and stakeholders.
As a strategic ally, Pluspetrol works with an entity endorsed by the Municipality of Quito to rehabilitate areas in the Guanguiltagua Metropolitan Park. From 2022 until December 2023, Pluspetrol planted more than 3,000 trees between Pastaza and Pichincha.
In 2022, the company joined the Ecuador Zero Carbon program, an initiative of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition, which seeks to implement measures for the quantification, reduction and neutralization of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Green Point Certification Process, aligned with the Ecuador Zero Carbon initiative. In December 2023, Pluspetrol was given the GHG inventory verification statement as part of its carbon footprint measurement, one more step towards obtaining the Green Point Certification, planned for 2024.
The Waste Management Plan and incorporation of the circular economy for the management of electronic waste from operational and administrative activities, which allow them to be used for a second time and create new products for the agricultural industry.
