The Camisea Consortium, operated by Pluspetrol, participated in the opening of new LPG dispatch islands in its Pisco Plant
On July 11, the Camisea Consortium, operated by Pluspetrol, organized the opening of 3 new LPG dispatch islands at its Pisco Plant (Ica) in Peru, which are added to the 4 already existing ones. With the 7 islands operating, up to twice as many tankers can be served daily.
This initiative represents a significant step to strengthen the supply chain of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Peru, allowing greater land dispatch in the face of port closures caused by the anomalous waves that are recorded on the country's coastline with greater frequency, intensity and duration.
The Pisco Plant is the one with the highest production and storage capacity of LPG in Peru. When the maritime dispatch of LPG is affected by port closures, this Plant receives a large influx of tankers.
The expansion of islands, in operation as of today, the new refrigerated to pressurized LPG transfer equipment for land dispatch, together with the automation system for registration and customer service, as well as the provision of 180 new parking spaces, among other improvements carried out, allow a more stable, agile and efficient supply.

More than S/ 200 million investment
The investment in this project, which is one of the largest in LPG infrastructure in recent years, exceeds S/ 200 million and reaffirms, once again, the commitment of the Camisea Consortium to strengthening the LPG supply chain and with the development of Peru's infrastructure.
