Pluspetrol Receives Recognition from Peru’s Ministry of Labour for Good Labour Practices

The Peruvian Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion (MTPE) granted Pluspetrol this recognition in the “Promotion of Work–Family Balance” category during the 2025 Good Labour Practices (BPL) Awards Ceremony. This distinction recognises companies that implement innovative policies that go beyond legal requirements to improve employees’ quality of life.

TU PLUS+ was recognised as one of the most comprehensive initiatives with the greatest impact on achieving work–life balance.

The recognition is based on the TU PLUS+ programme, which prioritises shared family responsibility and flexibility through initiatives that include a robust family leave package designed to strengthen family bonds. The company grants 30 additional days of maternity leave beyond the statutory requirement and allows for a phased return to work on a half time basis for two weeks. In addition, Pluspetrol promotes gender equity through an extended paternity leave of 21 days, significantly exceeding current legal provisions.

The programme also includes special leave for bereavement and relocation, childcare reimbursements, and a hybrid working model (“Blend Mode”) that combines on site work and remote working.

This year, the MTPE competition received submissions from more than 100 companies, which presented 364 initiatives aimed at improving employees’ quality of life across various categories. In this context, TU PLUS+ stood out as one of the most comprehensive and high impact initiatives supporting the reconciliation of personal and professional life.
