Pluspetrol Executes Option to Become Shareholder in the Vaca Muerta Sur Project

Pluspetrol has executed its option to become a shareholder in the Vaca Muerta Sur project, a fundamental initiative for the country's energy development, in partnership with YPF, PAE, Pampa, and Vista.

This initiative involves the construction of a 437 km oil pipeline connecting Allen with Punta Colorada, a loading and unloading terminal with interconnected monobuoys, and a tank and storage yard. The design includes a transportation capacity of up to 550,000 barrels per day, expandable to 700,000.

As a result of the recent acquisition of ExxonMobil's assets in Argentina, and in line with its expansion plans in the Neuquén Basin, Pluspetrol will add firm capacity for transportation, storage, and dispatch of 80,000 barrels per day. Additionally, Vaca Muerta Sur will complement other crude oil transportation routes, enabling Argentina to significantly increase its oil exports in the coming years.

This participation will be a strategic pillar for the company and will require an approximate investment of USD 3 billion. This will be financed through contributions from partners along with external financing, to be secured during 2025. Commercial operations are expected to begin in the first half of 2027.

In this way, Pluspetrol consolidates itself as a key player in the energy sector, guided by its purpose of enhancing sustainable energy development for the well-being of current and future generations.
