This project located in the middle of the jungle is both a sign of commitment to Peru's energy future and a challenge for Pluspetrol.
Located in the central Peruvian jungle, Block 108 is operated by Pluspetrol, which carries out exploratory work using 2D seismic surveys. The main aim is to find new sources of light crude oil that will contribute to the Peruvian economy in the future. Each activity is carried out to highest environmental and social standards, similar to those used in Camisea, which are already an international benchmark in the industry.
This methodology is accompanied by the constant monitoring by the native communities and the national authorities. Together with them, Pluspetrol is committed to preserving the environment as well as the local culture and heritage.
